Implementation of direct billing at the IMS
28/09/2021
From 1 January 2022, this service will be available to all IMS members in an international health care network (third party payment avoids the need to advance the cost of medical expenses).
For some years now, IMS members, group leaders, community leaders and diocesan leaders, and last year Cardinal Ouedraogo in his message on the occasion of the 2020 General Assembly, have expressed their expectation of new services, and in particular of a care network with third party payment.
The members of the Steering Committee took up this request. After an in-depth study and the launch of a call for tenders, a partnership is being finalised with MSH International (Siaci Saint-Honoré Group), a major international player in the health sector. It will provide all IMS members and groups with the following services
- Access to a healthcare network with third-party payment within the limit of the mutual aid corresponding to the chosen option
- Negotiation of fees with health professionals
- Carrying of medicines
- Preventive actions: medical check-ups, health sheets, etc.
- Monitoring of group membership and payment of aid on an online space (extranet) by the IMS group manager
This new partnership will be implemented from 1 January 2022.
It will involve changes in the organisation of management which will be presented to you in the coming weeks. Training will also be offered to group leaders in the use of the online space.
Watch out for the information that will be sent to you shortly.
