IMS expands with a Section in the Democratic Republic of Congo

International Missionary Benefit Society is strengthening its presence in Africa, with the opening of a new Section in the Democratic Republic of Congo on 1 July 2024.
The means of communication are becoming increasingly effective. For example, it is now easy to find information about approved hospitals on the administrator’s extranet portal. It is also possible to send care invoices to the management centre, using a computer that does not require a high internet speed, for a bank transfer 10 days later. Meetings and requests for information or assistance can be made by WhatsApp or videoconference.
In opening this office in Kinshasa, the IMS has two objectives:
to provide a local service to member IMS Groups,
to participate in the mission of health assistance, by offering services to canonical authorities who discover the IMS.
The nuns of the Holy Family of Helmet now represent the IMS in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Sister Godelieve has been appointed by her Provincial, Sister Brigitte, to take up the post of Section Leader; she is supported by Sister Nathalie. Their office is wide open in Kinshasa, available for any type of information relating to IMS health cover.
